Our Memorial Day weekend included visiting the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial. As always we think of Chris on this day and my dad and all the others who served faithfully to provide the rest of us with the blessings of Liberty.
Awesome, what a sight, I would love to visit this memorial next time we are there.
Beautiful memorial. I would like to see it a night . Maybe next time we are up north.
Wow!
Thank you! We've just returned from the Paradise Valley Estates (PVE) Memorial Day Service. Our Chorus sang, we rembered those who left us during the past year, I, too, thought of Chris and Hanna and Rip. We had a beautiful memorial wreathe and played the service songs of each branch including the Coast Guard ( we have a few of them here). - - - -and then we went into the Dining Room for hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, cherry pie, ice cream, and draft beer. PVE does ir right!
They sure do!!!
really really cool memorial. it photographs beautifully. and what a cool thing to see for memorial day.
I had grandpa print up the picture with the stroller and kids, it is sooo adorable, what beautiful children. We are getting our passports renewed and hope that means we will get over there to see you before too long, hopefully in the fall. When we do I would love to visit all these wonderful places we see and hear about. Thanks so much Spencer and Harmony for such good keeping in touch, we enjoy it more than I am sure you hear about, sorry. Love you all Cado sounds like you have a lot of fun at school, that is soo neat. Miss you and Paisley and Geneve, is growing too fast.
Tami, we are wanting an update on your foot. I'm especially interested because I am a candidate for foot surgery on a neuroma in my left foot. How are you doing now?
I am a fan of II Divo. This is a video of them singing Amazing Grace in the Coliseum in Rome. Very poignant considering all that happened there to early Christians.

This is Fort Campbell Army Airfield in a hangar where troops from the 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault, including 1st Lt. Michael Child, were welcomed home by family and friends moments after their plane arrived at about 10:00pm on Nov. 25. The welcome home ceremony lasted about 25 minutes and the cheering never stopped! Can you feeeeel the JOY!!?
I got emotional feeling that excitement and relief in the air. Amazing. These people are truly amazing.
Notice we still pray in the hangars on Army Airfields.
I am so glad that they still do, and hope they always will. I was very emotional watching this video. I am so grateful for all of these woman, men and the families that sacrifice so much. I am also grateful I was raised with a father who was in the military and a brother who gave his life for his country and family. Thanks for sharing!
It must have been hard to wait to run out and be with him once you saw where he was!! I can only imagine the joy you felt at that time. WOW. inspiring ! ! !
