It was such a beautiful day in Geneva, and Spencer came home early unexpectedly from work, so we set out for the lake.  It was really nice and fun. The sunshine and warmth is like the most powerful, magical medicine for my soul!

I keep hoping for warm weather.  Actually, today is supposed to be the warmest day of the year, so far - 62 degrees.  But alas, it is supposed to snow tomorrow.  Oh well.

I can remember the sun coming out after dreary winter days in Germany. This picture took me back to when we were in Germany for four years. Lauren was a baby and Michael was about like Paisley. By the way, a box I sent to you all for Christmas has made its way back to Virginia! Now I will try again and hopefully with the correct address! :) Congratulations on the baby news! :)

Yeah, so as is normally the case I suppose with Spring, this really was just a sneak preview.  Winter is in full fury, more than it has been the whole time, right now.  We actually had snow all day today and its sticking on trees, roofs and cars.

sorry about the box that came back!  We'll look forward to receiving it!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it either!  She is so cute, and so big, I can't wait until June.

I was actually able to pull her hair into a half pony tail (with the help of a good amount of hairspray)
Virginia on Wednesday March 19, 2008
I am so glad you didn't cut her hair.  She sure looks cute.
harmony on Thursday March 20, 2008
no, I haven't cut her hair in a long time.  It grows evenly now.  I used to trim it because I didn't want a mullet.  i do trim her bangs every once in awhile.

Do you have back up superman gear so you can wash these without him freaking out? It seems like he is wearing these in every photo! :)
harmony on Wednesday March 19, 2008
so true.  Yes, we have two sets of Superman jammies.

Do you see the amazing little drawing he's holding created by himself.  I'm telling you there is some serious artistic potential in that kid.  He is drawing all the time now and he's really good at it.

at the lake there was this big hill of sand and the kids couldn't get enough of it.  It was so fun.

Cado came up with a name for this place "Canelia."  It comes from nothing I can tell.  He's very creative and imaginative.  Its crazy how most of us lose that as we grow up.  Thats whats great about having kids, its helps me remember. We had a lot of fun pretending all about the kingdom of Canelia.  There were evil robots, and Cado was the prince of Canelia, etc.
Virginia on Wednesday March 19, 2008
I can just hear him chattering all about the kingdom of Canelia.
harmony on Thursday March 20, 2008
yep!  exactly!
bruce_roundy on Sunday March 23, 2008
Me too, thanks for posting all the cute pictures.

Words of Wisdom I hope I can remember and live by!
"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley "I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
