outside the basilica. We were really impressed with the mosaics on the outside, little did we know it was merely a sneak peak for what was waiting on the inside. Oh, and note the bronze (?) horses on the basilica in the center (above Spencer's head), I don't remember the story of these, but they're cool and famous and we walked out on that area on our third day and saw them up close.
i snuck in a picture on our way out, before I was told to stop!
Why oh Why don't they have this here. The flavors are so amazing too. I know there was one down by the beach where you guys used to live I might have to make a special trip there just from looking at this its making me have a CRAVING!
hey last time i checked there was also one at the tyler mall, very expensive of course, but less than a trip to venice!
We have had it there, not the same, they try, but it just does not measure up.

notice the center of the picture that patchwork looking part, those are marble slabs cut to show off their marbling patterns in a cool way and then a bunch of different ones are mounted like this, and it looks really cool.
GONDOLA! GONDOLA! GONDOLA! (that's what the gondoliers all shout all the time)
the handsome guy I got to go out to dinner with.
We only ate at a restaurant once, and I think the "snack" shop food we had th other times was just as good or better, but a dinner out was a nice and unusual experience.
