I think this album finishes up our Summer months of July and August! Wow, that was a lot of posting and neglecting my kids! We went to Chamonix France with the Cowan's one Saturday. It is home to the tallest mountain in Western Europe. On clear days we can actually see it from Geneva. It's beautiful up close too. The glaciers I thought were the coolest thing and the way the clouds hover and cling to the mountains. We were actually here for a really cool event that we didn't know about. "The north face ultra trail du mont-blanc; sommet mondiale de la course nature". which means that a bunch of people raced many many miles over many days through the mountains on foot: hiking, climbing, running. A Mountaineers Race. I'll add comments later, for now I'm actually going to do something else wtih my life!

And I got to mountain bike in the mountains! I didn't have time or energy to do anything spectacular, but it was a lot of fun.

Words of Wisdom I hope I can remember and live by!
"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley "I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
