Geneve enjoyed the cake...or should I say the frosting. She ate the frosting right away, and then mutilated the cake. It was like, I'll take some more pink stuff please, I don't know what this black stuff is all about. But nope, she got one cupcake and had to be content with the dissapointment of not receiving more!

I remember the birthday collage I made for Brian's first birthday and it involved a lot of scissor cutting and wasn't near as cute. This could be a Card at a specialty store for birthday's. and there isn't a better model I could think of for the job either. Seriously Harmony you should go into the card and party business. Yet why rock the boat you are the perfect MOM and I wouldn't want to take you away from your children. maybe someday. The possibilities are endless, you and Brian both seem that way. You could do so many things with your artistic talent.

I made Geneve her very own party hat. Surprisingly she wore it. It may be because Mommy wore one all day too!

AHA, so you made that hat. No wonder it is soo cute. Yes you are amazing! You could sell those for sure. She was just way to ADORABLE in it. I can't help it what other word can I say , I just keep saying ADORABLE ADORABLE ADORABLE !!!!!

By the way I don't know if I mentioned what an adorable outfit she has on that dress and ballet slippers just so sweet and perfect for a first birthday. I also love Paisley's dress . As usual your girls look like beautiful little girls should. All sugar and spice and everything nice, that 's what little girls are made of.

We invited more guests but because of sickness and naps, only the Gillespies were able to come at 12:30. Tara and her family joined a bit later, and then the Hiatt's came for dinner!

Geneve is really cute with this little friend. She always wants to touch him. And most of the time she is pretty gentle and I think she at least tries to be even if she's not!

So, I wracked my brain to think of some "themed" cake like I did for Cado's 1st (dog) and Paisley's (penquin), and I thought of doing a cow (Switzerland) or because Geneve is obsessed with shoes, making the cupcakes look like pairs of shoes. That would have been really cute, but in the end I really didn't have the time, so she got this!

so perfectly delightful, I really can/t stand it! I have to look at these all the time. She is so grown up and just too cute to boot. Sitting in that chair clapping her hands with that smile it's just too much. I want to blow it up and fill the whole wall with it. THIS IS WHAT JOY IS ALL ABOUT !!!! Oh how deprived I am to not be able to be with my grandchildren!!!! It truly would mean the world to me. I'm jealous of my MOM and Dad who are probably there right now instead of me, yet am glad they get the experience too. Get your fill if you can it goes by too quick.!!!

She is really very often that bright-eyed. Just this past week or so she's gotten more "grown up", meaning throwing some fits and showing some independence.

the big kids just couldn't not help! They were of course a little too helpful...but it's okay, they were just so excited! And Geneve hardly knew what was happening.

bythe way, those of you who do picasa collages, do you ever have the problem that it crops/zooms or otherwise changes some of the images within? Look at my collage and you will notice (for example above the upper right corner of the center image) that it has altered beyond recognition some of my photos. It really irritates me. If you know why or how to change this, tell me!
