Genève Maris Roundy, 1 year old. Love this one. Cado goes to school all day Tuesday, and Paisley was home but sick with a fever, and I got a new camera today, so the stars aligned and I was able to get some 1 year photos of this sweetie.

So as I looked through these and edited them I was just breathtaken by this girl's beauty and how natural she is in front of the camera. In some of these she seems like an older woman in a baby body, that sounds wierd, but her poses and faces, etc. It was kind of tripping me out. I keep thinking, is this gorgeous baby really from me?

It's pretty amazing that I was able to get anything good, when you consider that I had no assistance, a mere 5 foot wide backdrop, a very active little subject, a new camera, and a patchy flash due to not completely charged batteries. There were quite a few snacks involved (which meant for crumb removal in photoshop :) : crackers, cheese, even a lollipop which she didn't really eat much but felt really cool about holding. There were also lots of songs being sung and sudden attention grabbing noises and pleas from mommy. She loves songs and dancing. She twirls now and claps and bounces and waves her arms. During conference when the choir would sing she would get so excited and immediately start moving or directing. so cute.

So these "studio" shots were taken with my new Canon 500D. My 20D finally had taken enough abuse. yeah, sad. It's electronic/LCD functions are not functioning. We think it may be fixable, but we need to take it in and pay to find out, which we will do, but I have quite a bit of photo work these days, so getting a camera made more sense at the moment. Anyway, I PROMISE to take much, much better care of this camera! Spencer you are the best, thank you for your help and support and for not even giving me one lecture or head shake. You have been super nice, supportive and helpful...like always.

So I first thought that you had a typo in here name. Then I realized that you were spelling one of her nicknames - genev-ie. She sure is a cut-ie. I love how she runs to me when I get home at night.

goodness gracious, what a doll ! She is such a mix of the family ! A natural as you said. I guess that's an extra blessing for a photographer Mommy. I hope to be able to get some of these in frames. I'm excited for you to have a new camera.

this could be for a cracker commercial. This girl should be making money for someone with all this cuteness!

Always sharing, she is such a lovebug, whenever I am on Skype she just smiles and attacks with loves and kisses mom and anyone else around, like Cado today ! I decided it's because she feels my love and has to express it. I can't wait to be the recipient of all those xoxoxoxoxoxox's Hopefully Christmas, New years or sometime before shes all grown up!

Adorable X's 10 !!!

She really looks grown up in this one. This outfit makes her look like a teeny bopper. Look at those rosy red lips ! It's funny how as grown women we are trying to look like this, with her natural rosy cheeks and lips and beautiful big eyes! Yet it takes a whole lot of make-up and it still doesn't come close to the natural radiance of a baby!

punk rocker! that's what she looks like to me here. she is dancing in this picture. I may add more of her action shots to the album later. there was lots of spinning and dancing going on, paisley was watching sleeping beauty in the background and so Geneve kept running over when the music caught her attention.

Dancing princess baby ! I saw a lot of her great moves on skype today. All my grandchildren have taken after Mommy and can dance, dance, dance !!

she seems older than 1 year in a lot of these, this one for sure.

True, partly because of what she is wearing I think.
