When I look at the pictures of the Gruyeres area, I am reminded again of why we take our guests there if we can. It is such an awesome blend of the classic flavors of Suisse-Romand: chocolate, castles, gorgeous mountains and countryside, cows, cheese...
Oh, and when we arrived at the chocolate factory, we were in for a great surprise...they had totally redone the place! Before it was mostly great just because you got to eat free chocolate at the end, but otherwise was actually pretty lame. But now...it's really cool! and you still get free chocolate!
The party was fun. We did it right before the church party, and Neve stayed home with Daddy and napped, and then we went to the church party at 6ish.
(I made the Barbie costume, and the Jessie costume (except for hat) was made by my friend Laura!). Since Halloween day was on Sunday, we did our version of the "evil eye restaurant" that night.
in January of this year I bought stuff to make a quilt for Geneve....I finally made it, and curtains.
Paisley gave me a lesson on how to draw like her, (mine on left, her's on right), Cado's dominoe castle, Geneve asleep on my bed with a million books, Spencer and I at the Stake dance, Geneve's chocolatey funny face, kids helping with chores, kids lifesized self-portraits.

This album is public for all to see.

here is the St. Cergue desalpes, cow festival, when they bring the cows down from pasture for the winter. We actually saw it all this year. It's a very cool, very Swiss thing to experience. Spencer's brother Shad came to visit the next weekend, the next weekend I went to the temple with the youth, and the next weekend was Halloween I think. So, take: outings, day trips, Halloween, a guest, having 3 kids, callings at church... and add to that the photography I did (go to my blogspot site to see that), and it is no wonder I never found the time to blog about our busy and fun October!
