Went to Ikea one Friday or Saturday night and bought our tree and had dinner and bought a gingerbread house kit. Sometime later we made our awesome gingerbread house.

Had a wonderful Young Women's Christmas dinner at my house which my counselor and I prepared. We also gave them each an individualized journal for recording personal progress and spiritual growth. I scrapbooked each book with their favorite colors and a photo and we wrote them each a letter and put it there. When wrapped they thought we were giving them hymnbooks. They were pleasantly surprised and I think touched. It was a really nice evening and helped me get my house all Christmas-y.

ward Christmas party. At one point the timeline of mortal life was represented, from a baby to student to missionary to marriage to us: young family, to employee/career person to retired people. We were asked to represent the young family. And yes, as we told everyone, we really are as perfect as we seem. ;)

the primary nativity. Paisley is sheep-Geneve's shepherdess. Like my last second pillow sheep costume! haha! crack up. And Cado got to be Joseph! Mary was about twice his height, but he didn't seem to mind to much!

I am so glad you put pictures of the walls of your house. I was so impressed by all the art you did with your children and the way you display it. It is like a museum of art. I have enjoyed all your pictures from fall through winter. Thank you for posting your talents and life with the Geneva Roundys.

Words of Wisdom I hope I can remember and live by!
"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley "I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
