I didn't want to add a whole tube of food coloring to make red, so i decided to use strawberries. a good plan until they sat there for any amount of time, as you can see they created juice which went everywhere.

Made it yummy too.

Peter312 on Thursday July 30, 2009

It looks great, and I am sure tasted great!  I am sure Cado loved it too.

Reminds me of  the Cake of Spiderman I made Brian for one of his birthdays maybe even no. 5.  I know Cado must have loved it.

I made "briefcases" for the guests (just supermarket sacks) with goodies inside, including a cape and mask. it was a big hit. they all LOVED flying around.

Peter312 on Thursday July 30, 2009

Where is Geneve in her cape?

Tami on Wednesday August 5, 2009

Can anyone tell who the REAL superhero is?  REminds me so much of Harmony and Brian as kids.  They were serious about their play.  Always in character!!!   Cado is ready for his call to action.

Brent was such a good sport. He basically submitted himself to getting beat up several times during the party.

When I first saw this cake I wondered Cado's five what?  Then I realized that apostrophes can also be used for contractions - so this cake says that Cado is five!  Which, is a little shocking to see that he's reached that milestone age.

After looking through all the pictures I thought, sheesh what was I doing the whole time, since it seems like Brent and Jennie were doing everything in the photos! They helped out with this game and so did Tom, we hid the cake and then Tom came to the kids saying, oh no! the cake is missing, etc. a bad guy did it....; Jennie made and hid the clues and Brent read them in french and English.

Peter312 on Thursday July 30, 2009

You were taking the pictures obviously............................

Tami on Wednesday August 5, 2009

What great friends.  You did all the planning baking organizing and picture taking and then some I'm sure.

One of Jennie's clues was to find the parent in the black shirt. She then pulled it out of her pocket. It was cute.

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley "I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
