went to gruyeres in late november with jennie and the all the kids and her friend from freshman year, who i consequently already knew because we were all in the same freshman dorm building/ward.
really cool nativity artwork at one artists' exposition at the castle of gruyeres. he had a ton of different variations on the creche.
if you didn't know, shiny reddish boots are in. just ask these trendsetters.
one photo from an espace junior day (bouncy castles, etc)
on that good mom day. playing soccer with this cutie
another good mom moment. they're obviously rare enough that i take great pride in them and must document them! we built this thing together. the kids make much cooler stuff on a daily basis, but since i don't i was so impressed i needed a picture.
up up and away. they refuse to grow out of these things, but one day it will truly not be possible to put them on.
Don't you know the trick to make them last a bit longer, cut off the feet, that's what I did when you guys were little. I think I even have a picture somewhere of Brian with his on almost up to his knees. Yep, I remember the days.
love that they are such good buddies. she's pretty much all girl and he all boy, but cado will be her prince and dance ballet with her, and she'll play superheros with him.
dinner on Uncle Pete. this is KPMG slang for when KPMG says have dinner on us. I didn't know about such slang or apparent common-ness of this practice, but it was nice, since here i have yet to meet any of spencer's coworkers (except for one day i had to come flustered to his office because i locked me and the kids out) or been invited to anything, no christmas dinner party, etc. so we went out to a classic swiss meal. this is becky and brian gillespie.
jennie and brent cowan. and i'm sorry to say I don't remember this really nice guy's name. oh by the way, spencer doesn't work with these people on a regular basis, besides working the same client or two with brent, he's never shared a job with the people at this dinner. it was an EXPAT dinner with canadians and americans in the geneva office.
us. obviously.
so this is the night before Jennie and I's Christmas party, meaning the ward christmas party we were in charge of. so had it been planned at a different time it would have been more relaxing. also, its a good thing the dinner was free, because our babysitter cost 60 francs.
You two make a very good looking couple, I really like Spencer's green shiny tie.
this is cute little Liam at the kpmg dinner
sometimes my gorgeous girl looks like this.
actually, the hair is often like this or even worse. i need to get a picture of what the back of it usually looks like, a matted, ratty mess. But the poor girl had a strange on and off allergic reaction during December that we have a feeling may have been related to our christmas tree. it showed up the day we got it, and i haven't seen it since its been gone. though, she still has watery eyes sometimes, and blinks a lot, so there may be more to it than meets the eye. he he
poor girl. I guess Doreen's nephew is allergic to trees, and lots and lots of other things, one being peanut butter. I hope that is not the case with Paisley.
see, nice hair. and this smile is because she just opened a late-arriving christmas present, sleeping beauty dvd
They LOVE this movie!
Oh, and I am a fan too. The artwork is amazing and mixed with Tchaikovsky's ballet makes it a real work of art as much as a Disney classic.
and this is what my gorgeous girl looks like when her mommy washes, trims and styles her hair and she puts an extremely big smile on her chubby little face.
took a few shots, had to share. she's so darn cute. her hair is the finest, tangliest, driest, slowest growing. poor girl. she's so girly and would love to have long shiny thick hair. she walks around brushing what she does have and singing, etc. i'm serious about her girliness, its intense.
but like i said, i can get it to look like this, but only for the first 30 minutes after doing it.

This album is public for all to see.

a rare good mom moment, even on a pretty chilly fall day. a castle each for my princess and prince .
