“O DEATH, WHERE IS THY STING? O GRAVE, WHERE IS THY VICTORY?”

Yesterday we began our day with a morning family devotional. We read some scriptures, looked at some pictures, shared our testimonies and watched a movie called “Finding Faith in Christ.” The movie depicts scenes from Christ’s ministry—miracles, teachings, and his death and resurrection. Cado and
After watching it, Spencer remembered that we had an extra copy and we decided to bring it to our neighbors across the street as an Easter gift. Fortunately they were home and we had a nice visit with them for quite a while. They were appreciative of the gift. They are warm and friendly and we’ve enjoyed having them as our neighbors.
Then we returned home for our final preparations for church and the afternoon with Family. I had to prepare the activity for nursery (18 mos—3 yr. old kids) and Spencer got everything for the kids ready and made jello (thanks!)
Church was really good. They put together a great program with touching and powerful musical numbers, mixed in with quotes and scriptures. We caught as much as we could in between wrestling with, keeping busy and silencing our children! Then it was off to nursery for the next two hours for me and the kids and Spencer went to substitute teach a lesson in Gospel Doctrine class on the Bread of Life. I had 2 helpers in nursery and one of them organized all the toys for me! Yay! It went well. We went on an egg-hunt to find pieces of paper with scenes from Jesus’ life and then they all made a little book with the papers. At the end I caught someone in the hall who had extra cupcakes that he offered to me, so I gave them to the kids, and that was the quietest while messiest 15 minutes of the day!
We came back home to grab some things and headed off for Mom & Dad Child’s. I gave Doreen a makeover and took some pictures of her and Brian. I think they turned out good. Because I did that I completely spaced on making the "funeral" potatoes I planned on making. So Mom Roundy, I can't tell you how those turned out!
Fortunately, the meal turned out great without them. It was a marvelous meal prepared by Mom and Dad. Lamb, red potatoes, citrus salad, cold & crisp asparagus with vinaigrette (surprisingly good), rolls, olives, deviled eggs, jello. It was very good, and just the right amount of different things. Josh and Jeff joined us for dinner which was nice. Everyone enjoyed the meal, except for Cado who had eaten around 20 peeps during the first hour of being there! He was also caught later with a chocolate bunny hiding underneath the dining room table! We had a quick Easter egg hunt for the kids.
We finished the evening with more visiting, and the kids took their traditional Grammi’s house bath. It was a lovely weekend. My only regret is I didn’t take more pictures. Sometimes I want to free myself of the burden of life historian & photojournalist, but whenever I do I end up regretting it. I hope you enjoy what I did take! Love to All!
.Well, it was a great weekend! I'm glad we could spend it with some of you.

While I realize this really doesn't call for a drumroll, it is nevertheless exciting for Paisley's hair&beauty-loving mom. I have patiently awaited the time when her hair was just long enough to torture and pinch into a clip of some sort.
Well, we're there folks! I comb that fine, fragile baby hair into a bunch as Paisley wriggles and writhes and I carefully clip it into the only thing I happened to have around--plastic colored clips I wore as a teenager. And I must say, for me it's all worth it. Just look at her and tell me thats not adorable! And with a little spray and some teasing I even coax some curl out of her angelic pale-blond locks.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I haven’t accomplished much this year besides raising my two cuties. I have had some photography work with my company Harmony Photography & Beauty and my Dad, including some weddings, engagments, bridals and family portraits. Of course I take way too many pictures of my kids. I decided that I wasn't doing well trying to have a successful Mary Kay business as well as Photography, so I have chosen to focus on Photography, however I will continue to be an MK consultant and make a few orders a year. I have managed to almost completely lose the baby weight, mainly by taking walks to the park and being a little more conscious of my diet, as well as doing Pilates every once in awhile (with a video). I also had a calling, which I just got released from as Teacher Improvement Coordinator, and have just been called as the Ward Chorister and to work on the Roadshow (play/skit). I am a little nervous about the first and really excited about the second. I spend a lot of time with my mom and family and we enjoy having them close. We took some trips: went to Utah to say Farewell to Spencer’s brother Darrell in April for his mission in Brazil, then went back in July to say Farewell to Spencer’s Grandma Coleman at her funeral, then I went back in October for my mom’s family’s Women’s Retreat. We went to

Thank you for sharing about your family. I can't believe Paisley is almost a year old. It's also funny that there were three cousins born in one year. You are a great mom with lots of love and energy for your children.
