"Is today a play day or a school day", Cado always asks.  Today was a play day.  Yep, the Jeûne Genevois is an annual holiday in Geneva, which has some significance that you can discover on wikipedia.

Rather than being really focused on abstaining from food for the day, my coworkers specifed that it is much moreso a fast from work.  Which I'm OK with.  It was a beautiful day so we borrowed a bike from a bike rental place (that has some free bikes like the one we got) and then took off for a bike ride of the city as a family.  Boy was it fun.  I love being with my family, I love biking, and I love this website so I'm glad to share it here now.

Cado rode his own bike, I mine, and Harmony on the bike with the two girls in the front basket.  We took sandwiches for a picnic and swimsuits in case the water was nice at the lake.  We went over the United Nations, then down to the lake, over the the other side of the lake, up through a park to a wading pool, then back home along the lake and river.

Great day!

this was such a fun day! thanks for sharing about it. i LOVED riding through the fountains, much better than running around in a swimsuit,( which i've never actually done. ) seeing geneva this way seems to make everything extra beautiful, it was a gorgeous day.
