Random Information
Yes, Cado did get hit by a car, but given the circumstances, how he ran out into the street without any time for the driver to react, officially, he hit the car - at least that's the conversation I had with the police here. Even so much that it would be our insurance that would have to pay for the damage to the man's car. But all of that is another story, with little importance.
The Story
Our new apartment is on a one way street, there is a sidewalk with parked cars perpendicular to the sidewalk, between the sidewalk and the street. There is a path way by our apartment's door into the street. Harmony's friend (Jennie) came over to drop her kids off. Harmony walked across the street to tell her friend where to park, Cado ran, without looking to the car because his friend Drew was in the car. At that same moment a car was going past the parked car where Harmony and her friend were, and because of the perpendicular parked cars, couldn't see Cado. He braked suddenly, Cado turned to look at the oncoming car. Harmony and her friend saw the whole thing. The bumper hit cado in the belly and waist and knocked his head down so that it most likely hit the hood of the car. Then Cado was thrown about 10 feet and landed face first on the ground.

I happened to be in the apartment, without knowing any of this was going on - because I dropped off some items between clients. Jennie called me with the news and I ran down. What a terrible sight. I first saw Cado on a stiff board and they were taping his head to the board so he wouldn't move his neck and back. Harmony and I went in the ambulance, Paisley went with Jennie. On the way to the hospital the driver gave the report to the emergency room. He mentioned that they were concerned about his knees, legs, both hips, mouth, and I think some other things.
We made it to the emergency room. Cado never lost consciousness and never vomitted - both good signs. As the doctor's felt every part of his body they asked him if it hurt - he didn't say anything except for an occasional, "where are my teeth?", "how can I eat", "I want to go play with my friends". They took blood, Xrays, ultrasound of his internal organs and bloodflow, some other electric test of his whole body.
The Miracle
I gave Cado a blessing and felt strongly impressed to tell him that Angels carried him and kept him alive. I truly believe this. They couldn't figure how fast the car was going exactly, but anywhere from 30 - 50 km/h (18 - 31 mph). The impact was direct and Cado only weighs 35 pounds or so.
Medical Update
I stayed the night with Cado the first night. He slept very well and they came by every two hours to take his temperature, blood pressure, vitals, and make sure his eyes dilated. I slept quite well on the silly chair/bed they gave me.
The doctor's came by this morning and checked him. They said all of the tests showed there was nothing wrong - no broken bones, internal bleeding, etc. He doesn't even have a bump on his head. He has a couple scratches on his knees, stomach, and his front teeth came out (we'll go to the dentist tomorrow).
They said that he should start drinking, then eating, and get up and walk around. Everything was going well and he could leave in the evening. However, around 4:00 p.m. he had a 102 fever. I think from the pain in his mouth, overdoing the play part of things, and the trauma. So he is on fever reducer and being monitored again tonight. Harmony is sleeping there (they gave her an actual bed) and Paisley and I went home (to our temporary place - we're moving on Saturday).
After the fever medicine kicked in he jumped out of the bed, and was hard to keep control of - just like our normal lovable Cado - until he finally fell asleep tonight. His temperature is back to normal too.
