Cheese:  Milk's leap toward immortality.

Harmony, Cado, Paisley and I spent some time at Disneyland last night.  Boy was it fun.  Cado couldn't contain his excitement about being together as a family at Disneyland.  I think that he was as excited about me showing up as he was about being at Disneyland, and you put the two together and he was an amazing (ping pong or pinball - either works) ball of energy.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with Cheese.  But what does, is that on the way home we drove pass a business, Ganahl Lumber.  Now I know what you are thinking - Lumber has nothing to do with cheese either.  Well you are right.  But something special and unique about this Ganahl location is that they have a marquee out front (as can be see in the picture below).  Every time we drive by there is a different saying.  I've never seen it have anything to do with lumber.  And this time, it had to do with cheese.

Pretty clever statement.  I know that I'm a cheese fan, and my kids are huge cheese fans.  So there you have it.

Personally, I like good ol cheddar cheese, and I like the creamy (but not too creamy) french cheeses.  I'm not too much a fan of swiss unless its accompanying the right foods.  Bleu cheese is only good in certain occasions as well.  What cheeses do you like?

Oh, I forgot to say, I saw Jeff Jaramillo at Disneyland last night too.  That was crazy, but really good to see him and his family.  They have two little boys and he's doing really well and back into the church full swing.

Spencer, it was awesome to be together as a family at Disneyland last night.  I would have been like a pinball too, but I have a little more emotional maturity and I figured you had your hands full with Cado.    I'm with you on cheese.   Havarti and Gouda are both good too.  I think that statement on the marquee is awesome!  And you're cute!

Well  I don't really have a favorite cheese unless it is nacho cheese.  I do like grilled cheese sandwiches.  My favorite marquee statement is on center street in Orem as you are going west towards the I-15 freeway entrance.  It says:  Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.  That has nothing to do with lumber or cheese - but it has everything to do with life.  I love you all.

The best cheese for me was the cheese, I think it was Spencer used to refer to by saying "Its not yo cheese" (Nacho cheese).

I'm not sure what my favorite cheese is, but I think it's Munser. I don't know how to spell it, or if that's even waht it's really called, but it was good.

Ahh cheese. I am a huge cheese fan. My wife and I started a family tradition when we got married. We have a cheese and crackers holiday. We arbitrarily picked Groundhog Day as our cheese holiday. We generally go to a grocery store and I am allowed to pick two or three types of cheese (I usually pick a safe cheese or two and then the third I experiment). We love a good aged, smoked cheddar (the best we've had was from Ireland). I also love good salty sheep cheese, though I haven't found any that I like in Arizona. I never thought I would like Bleu cheese, but I recently visited Medford, Oregon and went to the Rogue Creamery. It was amazing cheese, they had free samples and I had to exercise self control not to eat all of the samples.
Mmmm, cheese...

Man all this talk of Cheese is making me trunky.  I'm pretty sure Brazil may be one of the least "Cheesy" countries in the World.  The reason I say this is because I've only seen one kind of cheese here, and I'm not even sure what it's called.  "Yes I would like 5 slices of ham, with 5 slices of cheese" is what I say to the local meat and cheese market.  So I guess right now my favorite cheese would have to be "queijo," in other words, whatever cheese the butcher chooses to give me.

I love the Cheese holiday thing!  I like cheese.  I also like Wallace and Gromit movies, and they are crazy about cheese.  "Everybody knows the moon's made of cheese."

We're definitely going to have to start a cheese holiday! What a great idea!
